Because stage trusses are very heavy, installation heights vary. After careful consideration, we chose the high-altitude assembly method of large steel trusses. Unlike high-altitude assembly, loose assembly at high altitude poses poor operating conditions. The jointing process of high-altitude trusses is very difficult to ensure safety, truss straightness, verticality, and welding quality control.
Stage trusses have a long history in truss construction. Compared to tubular trusses and square tube trusses, stage trusses are more widely used. The overall performance of stage truss structures is exceptional, with high variable stiffness and an aesthetically pleasing surface. It is relatively easy to manufacture, install, flip, and lift. However, the on-site assembly of steel trusses presents significant challenges, including docking, equipment sequencing, welding quality, deformation control, overall dimensional control, height, and verticality control.
Stage trusses are constructed from cold-formed thin-walled steel tube roof trusses, offering advantages such as lightweight structure, excellent stiffness, and steel conservation, allowing for full utilization of structural strength. In particular, they are more economical when used with compression rods and support systems that are controlled by a slenderness ratio. The sensitivity of stage trusses does not necessarily mean that they are easily installed. Certain activities differ significantly between outdoor assembly and factory fabrication, influenced by weather, temperature, operating platform, welding equipment, welding materials, location, and other factors.
Aluminum alloy trusses are typically used for stages. Compared to iron trusses, aluminum alloy is easier and faster to construct, and its flexibility and adaptability contribute to its popularity.
